Eddie was born in Inchmore to Ian and Siobhan Munro. He is the 3rd child of five and the 2nd son. Janet is the firstborn, and Ian Jr the second, with Andrew and Abbie, fraternal twins, born last. He started riding almost before he could walk, thanks to his Mother. From his father, a country veterinarian, he learned to listen to the animals. He rode field hunters in his youth and transitioned to eventing in his early teens. All of his siblings ride well, but none of the others went into it professionally.
He is also an avid musician, again thanks to his mother. All the siblings play some sort of musical instrument. When he was 16, he and his brother Ian had a band that gained some local notoriety. Unfortunately, before they could become more widely known, there was a schism between Ian and Eddie that has lasted to this day.
He also has a black belt in JuJitsu and Karate. He uses martial arts as a way to ground and center. It keeps his volatile temper in check. He practices them daily and is happy to teach and train others when the opportunity arises.

Eddie is currently a regular on the UK team and has been to the Olympics several times: Rio, Tokyo, and Paris. He's the proud owner of two Team Gold medals from the Paris Olympics.
For personal reasons, he has decided to immigrate to the US and attempt to make the US team for 2028. He is currently waiting for permission to move from the UK to the US.

Eddie is currently not in any relationship. A year ago, his engagement fell apart the day before the wedding was supposed to happen. After being very nearly left at the Altar, he spent nearly a year single.
He's always harbored an intense attraction to a fellow competitor, Merry Vollmer. They have been like two ships passing each other their whole lives. When they first met, Merry was married, and then when her husband died, he was in a relationship. Now, though, fate has seen them both single at the same time. What will happen? He's unsure.
Eddie's best friend, Priyani Tukur, rides in the US now, and Eddie is trying to get the appropriate visa to come ride at the same barn as she does. They've been friends since they were six, when Priyani's family moved to Inchmore from India.
Coincidentally, the farm in question is owned by one Merry Vollmer.
