Born to a Doctor and his wife in Chennai India, she is an only child. Her mother entered her in pageants as early as she could stand on her own, and she continued to compete until she fell in love with horses. Much to her mother's dismay.
She was expected to marry young into a prosperous family and she did at the tender age of 18. Her husband, Rakesh was a surgeon from a moneyed family. The marriage only lasted until he started hitting her. Though a short marriage, Rakesh granted the divorce without protest to keep his reputation intact. She also receives a good amount of alimony. She now uses the money from her ex-husband to pursue her dreams of horses.

Priyani is possessed of a deep, sarcastic wit and a smart mouth. She's not afraid to say what she thinks and loves to be the center of attention. She loves to laugh and is always good for a prank or joke.
Because of her past with men, she has a wariness about them, except for her best friend, Eddie. She has maintained, since her divorce, that she isn't interested in another relationship and finds her fulfillment with friends, her mother, and her horses.

Priyani isn't in a relationship, and she's not looking for anything outside of a good time. She dates frequently and isn't afraid to come home in the wee hours after a fling. She has no concept of "The walk of shame" as she's never ashamed of what she decides to do.
She has a robust friend circle, from women she used to pageant with to the people she currently competes with. Her best friend, Eddie Munro, is her closest confidant and because of that he's been on the TMI end of her exploits too many times.
