Aled Reese came from Wales with a dream. He invested his fortune in the first transcontinental Railroad, and through that and careful management became a self-made Millionaire. His wife, Glynnis was the daughter of a financier and came to the relationship with her own money. A rarity in that age she lived. They married late in life, Glynnis was a confirmed spinster when she met him. They had just one child live to adulthood.

His son, Tomos had the foresight to invest in real estate. Today the family has a diversified portfolio in everything from Energy to Shipping, including Real Estate and the Railroad. The ranch itself was purchased by Tomos, as a gift to his wife. Both Tomos and Gwen are still alive and kicking.

Owen and Lynette Reese were childhood sweethearts. They married right out of high school and after the birth of their first child, they moved into the big house on the Rainbow Ridge property and took over the day-to-day running of the ranch.

Eleri Reese, known to everyone just as Reese, is now the heiress to an expansive fortune. She, along with her younger sister and her parents run Rainbow Ridge. They breed and train American Quarter Horses in a variety of disciplines.
